- Bongiorno Petro!
- Thanks indeed for the fantastic GUI extension. This is exactly what AMOSPro
- needs; what's more it's easy to use and it works!
- I notice that it's freeware and I congratulate you for this. (I will send
- you a postcard of course.)
- I think that your project (including AGA, screen promotion, etc.) is the
- most important task facing the Amiga. The reason that the PC is popular is
- because there's lots of software, and the reason there's lots of software is
- that the PC is easy to write for (eg visual C etc). AMOSPro has always had the
- best environment to write in - the editor's just a joy to use; but the
- non-standard way it works, and the (previous) problems with using Intuition
- have always held it back (in my opinion). With your extension these problems
- are largely addressed.
- I have two questions:
- i) apart from the three demos that are included in your archive, are there
- any more examples that I could look at?
- and,
- ii) MUI seems to be becoming something of a de facto standard OS (in the
- absence of further Commodore development). Paul Hickman did show a 'proof of
- concept' to use AMOS and MUI, but felt he that this wasn't a useful thing, and
- discouraged me from using it. How difficult would it be to port your extension
- to support MUI, and MUIBuilder?
- Thanks again for some great work
- Ciau
